Pale gold color; Anjou pear, honeydew melon, white peach, passion fruit, lemon, some crushed rock acidity and light saline on the nose and palate.

Dry; minimal tannins, good acidity. Medium body. Silky, clean, slightly oily mouthfeel. Fresh, easy drinker, graceful. A superb introduction to pinot gris fruit from Oregon made by a winery in Geyserville-Healdsburg in Napa. Foley Food and Wine is the mother company. Primarily pinot gris with splashes—of 8.5% chardonnay, 0.5% muscat. This will please many palates while not delivering wow—I can’t imagine it being offensively intolerable to anyone. 13% ABV
Grapes fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to maximize fruitiness. Aged sur lie for three months for roundness and depth. Grapes harvested from Oregon’s classic AVAs—Willamette Valley, Umpqua Valley, and Rogue Valley. This is not a terroir driven wine, save for fact Oregon in general delivers terroir. It is a casual wine, delicious for what it is—a simple, clean, fun pour that will pair with fish and salads and be enjoyable drinking all by itself or with light crackers or charcuterie board.
This was a brand of King Estate, one of the stars in the ascendance of Oregon wines. In 2018, the brand was purchased by Foley Family Wines. Although now under Foley ownership and control, Acrobat still purchases fruit from King Estate and Oregon vineyards.
