Viña Quintay was founded in 2005 by several producers in the Casablanca Valley to produce sauvignon blanc. They since have expanded their line, evidenced by this pinot noir effort. Their “Clava” wines focus on optimal fruit purity and come only from estate grapes.
Viña Quintay Clava Reserva Pinot Noir Rosé, Casablanca Valley 2022 is light, fun, refreshing. Ideal summer sipper around pool, patio, porch, picnic—but versatile enough to be enjoyed any time of the year. Red fruit and good acidity. Simple sipper, but certainly nice for that. Invites a second glass, and then another. Works as an aperitif. Pair with charcuterie board; summer salads and fruit salads; light pasta dishes. Cheese—fresh cheeses, mixed milk cheeses, soft goat cheeses; burrata, mozzarella, feta, mascarpone, rocchetta. $15-17
